A Baby Brother!

Ugh. I've been trying and trying to upload a PDF of the ultrasound pics, but I guess it's just too big. Well we found out it's a baby boy on June 30th. Yes, I know it's now August 19th, but it's still big news, right?! I've been through the gammit of emotions on this one and I'm now stuck at fear. :) Just kidding. It will all be fine.





I'm now 26 weeks and feeling good. Desi's doing great. It's something new every day with her. She definitely has her dad's ability to ignore what you want to talk about or do and do what she wants. Especially at bedtime. Mom: Desi, please pick a book that you would like me to read. Desi: Okay mom. 3 minutes later. Mom: Desi, please pick a book! Desi: Mom! Mom! Mom! What's that over there?!

A Sister or a Brother?!

I'm 15 weeks pregnant. That's one of the reasons the posts have been so sporadic. Looks like I'm getting over the morning sickness much quicker than I did with Desi. And I'm getting much bigger too! I already have a sizable tummy. We find out if the baby is a boy or a girl on June 30th. We'll let you know!

Ice Cream and Presents

Everyone enjoys a little ice cream and opening birthday presents. We didn't get to presents for a week or so. In fact, Desi still has some to open.

Desi's 2 year check up went well. She's 26 lbs, 36.5 inches. As the doctor said: "Tall and skinny." He forgot CUTE!

Why?

So way too early this morning (around 6:30am) Desi wakes up and ends up in our bed (after I drag myself out of bed, get her out of her gated room, get her milk, and haul us both up into our bed). I tell her to stop kicking her Daddy in the back and she asks me why? WHY? Did a 20 month old just ask me WHY? Are we really already to this point in her life? OMG. I don't think we're ready for this!!!! Of course, I said: Because I said so! :)

We were lucky enough to run away from our hectic lives and join our dear friends in Ft. Myers in their hectic lives to celebrate Grace's 5th birthday.
