Happy First Birthday Desi!

Phew! I don't know which was more work: labor or the first birthday party! Ha Ha. But seriously, I'm pooped. Twenty four hours ago I was getting some work done and finalizing my plans for today. It was going to be a relatively lazy day ending with a not-so-long birthday party starting at 3pm. And then reality set in... Desi woke up at midnight and didn't go back to sleep until around 2:30. She didn't have a high fever, but seemed sick and couldn't settle back to sleep. Then I was up at 6am to head to Nana and Gung Gung's to start the party preparations and make a trip to the grocery store. By 8:50am we were sitting in the Dr's office making sure that Desi was alright. Poor Desi now had an ear infection and an eye infection, so off to the pharmacy for the 10 day supply of antibiotics and a 5 day supply of eye drops. After a short nap it was back to Nana and Gung Gung's house to start preparing for the party.

Of course, we had to have a little more drama when the party rental place didn't show up at 2pm and Dada went off to "fix things". But, it all worked out and we had tents, cotton candy, and a bounce house by 3:30pm. Now all we needed was for it to stop raining. That worked out also and people had a good time. Desi enjoyed her cake, opening her presents, and all the little kids who came by to celebrate the day with her. We finally came home around 10pm leaving a group of people still hanging out at the party.

But even after all that drama, we had a great time with friends and family and celebrating Desi's first birthday.

Colin and I can't believe our little baby is now one. Where did the year go?

Pictures to come!

Okay, so the fever never went away...

Desi now has her first ear infection and eye infection, so now she's on antibiotics and eye drops. Poor thing! But, as always, Desi's a tropper and is handling this all very well.

Fever Fever Go Away

All day Sunday, Monday, and today Desi's been miserable with a fever. Poor thing! She didn't let it stop her from enjoying Airee's party, but she's ready for it to go away and never come back. So are we!

Happy Birthday Airee!

We celebrated Airee's second birthday on Sunday. Desi enjoyed the water slide, the kisko pops, and the cake.

Exhausted!

Walking?!

For the past couple of weeks Desi has been mastering standing up on her own without holding on. Desi has started playing with toys in both hands while standing and has even started to bounce up and down hands free. Desi looks so ready to walk that Mary has been on the look out every day this past week for her first steps.

Today Nana said that Desi took two steps for her and loved every bit of it. Nana said that Desi couldn't stop giggling after her first "walk". Of course, Daddy was in Las Vegas and Mommy was running errands when all this excitement took place.

This is one of those milestones that is going to bring sadness and joy at the same time. Our little baby is growing up!

Go CANES!

Desi's getting ready for college football. We had to try on the CANES cheerleading outfit. Desi was very cute. It was too much for Dada to take. He's shopping for an FSU outfit!

GO CANES!

Easter (April 2009)

We are working our computer issues out and I'm slowly getting to download all our pictures from April and May. Here are the pictures from Easter.

Ms. Natasha Ariza came by to give Desi an Easter basket. Here are the two ladies in their Easter best. Holding hands none the less!

Desi wasn't sure what to make of the bunny, but Ms. Mary was quick to show her how to wear the watch and hair clip.

The guys with their gals.

And here are the mamas and their babies.

Next we heading to Grandma Price's house for a little Easter lunch. Kiana and Kayla were already there and well into the Easter candy.

The Prices.

And here's the family shot.

Happy Birthday Dada!

Happy Birthday Dada!

We celebrated Colin's 35th birthday yesterday with a small group of family and friends. Everyone was all smiles.
