Ice Cream and Presents

Everyone enjoys a little ice cream and opening birthday presents. We didn't get to presents for a week or so. In fact, Desi still has some to open.

Desi's 2 year check up went well. She's 26 lbs, 36.5 inches. As the doctor said: "Tall and skinny." He forgot CUTE!

Why?

So way too early this morning (around 6:30am) Desi wakes up and ends up in our bed (after I drag myself out of bed, get her out of her gated room, get her milk, and haul us both up into our bed). I tell her to stop kicking her Daddy in the back and she asks me why? WHY? Did a 20 month old just ask me WHY? Are we really already to this point in her life? OMG. I don't think we're ready for this!!!! Of course, I said: Because I said so! :)

We were lucky enough to run away from our hectic lives and join our dear friends in Ft. Myers in their hectic lives to celebrate Grace's 5th birthday.

Poo Poo in the Potty!

Desi went poo poo in the potty this morning (okay, maybe it was yesterday morning; to be honest, I can't even remember, but you'd understand if you'd had the weekend/week/month/quarter I've had)! She's been taking off her pants and her diapers lately and saying that she wants to pee pee, but as soon as we get to the toilet... Nothing. But she did it with poo poo today (or yesterday). She was very excited about it. We'll keep you updated on the potty training and I'll try to keep my days straight! :)

OMG! It's freezing! Really. Check out the cars this morning. It was an overnight low of 29 degrees! Good times. :)
